We've listed some of the basic services provided by
our office:
Health Education and Wellness
Programs
Health education and wellness programs are offered to assist students
in making healthy lifestyle choices during their college careers and as
a foundation for lifelong lifestyle choices. These programs provide
students with education, prevention, and intervention programs related
to substance abuse and issues such as AIDS/HIV, stress management,
adjustment, anxiety, depression, and sexual assault.
Personal Development Counseling
Individual counseling is available for psychological or developmental
issues such as school adjustment problems, self-esteem enhancement,
depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders.
Health education and wellness programs are offered to assist students in
making healthy lifestyle choices during their college careers.
Appointments & Crisis Intervention
The Health Education Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday in the McCurdy Alumni Memorial Union. Appointments
can be made by calling 812-488-2663. Emergency counseling services are
available after hours by calling the Office of Safety and Security at
812-488-2051, and asking for the counselor on call.
